Cannes 2016: Part 2

So I decided to make two parts of this edition because this is the most ground breaking and talked about film festival internationally and it is only right that we give the efforts taken by celebs, fashionistas and socialites alike the credit it truly deserves.

Amy Jackson:

Look 1:

On Day 01 we saw Amy wearing this embellished sheer navy blue gown with a sweetheart neckline. She kept the jewellery minimal with just a bracelet and diamond ear studs. Her hair was tied into a neat bun. Her make up was also minimum.

Look 2:

On one side when we saw celebrities taking huge risks, on the other we saw how Amy proved that Minimum is Maximum. Here we see her wearing a printed pantsuit. Again we see no jewellery than a watch and bracelet. Nude pumps – hair neatly tied back. Lady Boss!

Look 3:

This look has her having a fun with a strapless riffled red gown. Again no jewellery and hair tied back with face framing layers.

The makeup in all these looks have been kept completely minimal. There is no heavy foundation or contouring seen. We see her eyes are highlighted well with good black kohl and subtle lip stains like neutral pinks, warm red and matte peaches.

Sonam Kapoor:

My favourite of all celebs, she truly was an underdog. She always manages to enthral all of us with her sense of style.

Day 2:

This look of Sonam’s was equally as stunning as the first one. We saw her wear a lot of capes throughout her appearances. This was also gown she wore with a statement neck piece, hair tied back neatly and minimal make up. Get her look here:

*You can achieve her base make up by clicking here for my tutorial on the “L’oreal” products:

*Fill your brows with a shadow lighter than your eyebrow shade and then set it with Pomade.

*For the eyes we see she has gone for the shimmering nudes. In India as of now we have only 1 palette that has so much versatility. The Maybelline New York Nudes Eyeshadow Palette This palette is so versatile that I personally feel you can master almost 4- 5 looks with this shadow palette alone. It has Matte, glitter and nude shadows that perfectly compliment the Indian Skin.

*Go in with the brown shade to highlight your crease section and fill in the centre your lid with the nude shade that best compliments your skin tone. Next blend the shimmer bronze on crease eyelid. Finish off with a liquid liner to draw a cat eye and a good black kohl

*For the mascara Diorshow Iconic will you give you that sparse thick lashes.

I have also included a budget friendly option with the L’oreal Prais Voluminous range from Amazon. Do check it out!

Budget Friendly: Amazon: Maybelline Voluminous

*The Lips here are coral. L’oreal Paris Colour Riche: Coral Showdown Is the closest you can get to this one.

And we are done  🙂

Day 3:

Desi Princess Elsa has arrived to take her throne! Yes this look is so mesmerizing, with all the right elements to make it an Indian inspired gown. The thread work the English lavender colour and the desi jhumkas. We see that since her outfit speaks volumes, she has toned down her make up to nudes and minimums, we are not complaining. Let me know in the comment section if you want to have a tutorial for her Hairstyle and Make up.

Aishwarya Rai:

Many people had a lot to say and I respect their opinion on her look. But I truly feel she is the only Indian actress who can actually carry off this look. I have not seen any other celeb take such a risk on the most scrutinized carpet and totally rock it! Get her look:

*Prep and prime your face with the “L’oreals” range as given before. Use a pencil brow filler in a brown shade to get that almost there brows.

*Her eyes are smoky shimmers. I have tried and tested this palette it is so budget friendly I bet anyone can achieve these eyes. Maybelline Diamond Glow Eyeahadow in the shade Grey Pink. Go with the white highlighter on your brow line. With the grey go on your crease section, now with the dark grey shimmer apply on the lid and on extend it down to your lower lash line.

*Tight line your eyes and apply dark kohl on your waterline. Apply Masacara to finish your eyes

*We see her cheeks look completely flushed pink. Two Faced Sweethearts Blush in the shade Something about Berry can be applied with a really light hand.

Shop here: Sephora: Too Faced Blush

*The Purple Pout- Finally the most talked about colour stain. Although I am not exactly sure the exact formula used on her lips but I’ve managed to get something close to it:

Shop here: Jeffree Star: Blow Pony

Well my lovelies there is no dupe for this, but I can give you another option though the formula is completely different on this one , and I truly feel Jeffree star’s lip shades does more justice

Shop here: Nyx: Liquid Suede- Sway

And we are done!

I truly hope I did justice to these wonderfully put-together outfits and makeup by these talented people. There is no substitute to true talent and these looks will only help you achieve something what the stars put up. Always remember, you are beautiful and need nobody’s approval for that.
