Cannes 2016:

With all the drama surrounding this film festival I thought it is essential to break it down for everyone. India was represented at the Red Carpet by not two but three celebrities. And boy was it a showdown! Every day, every walk on the red carpet and every outfit the drama was intense.

So the three celebrities were Aishwarya Rai Bacchan , Sonam Kapoor and Amy Jackson. They were all beautiful and they were dressed to kill!

Day 01:

Aishwarya Rai Bachhan:

So India’s Beauty queen turned up to be the risk taker this time around, there were some crazy make up thrown and the dresses that were designed were all crazy experimental.

We saw her first wearing this nude shade sequinned gown and a matching cape. No accessories, wavy hair and bold eyes with a subtle lip. She looked every bit every girl dreams to be at the red carpet. I have broken down her makeup for this look and we have gone *All L’Oreal* on this one:

*Start with a primer to the face. A Primer gives a good base for the makeup to stay for long and without wearing out. Try the L’oreal Paris Magique Transforming Base Smoothing Primer.

*Conceal the spots and fine lines using the L’oreal Paris True Match Concealer.

*Go on top of that with the L’oreal Infalliable 24h Foundation. This foundation is perfect for covering up all those spots on your face. Use a foundation brush for great application.

*Set the look with Loose powder L’oreal Paris True Match Minerals .

*For the eyes start off with any good primer applied evenly on the eyelids. Next using the L’oreal Paris Infalliable Silkissime Eyeliner in the shade True Teal Draw a line across the line of your upperlid of your eye and extend the line to the crease of your eye. Now using a smudge brush, smudge the colour to spread and give you that perfect finish.  Also line the lower waterline of your eye with same shade.

*Using the rose nude shade best suiting your skin tone from the L’oreal Paris Colour Riche La Palette- Rose Nude apply on the centre and inner corners of your eye.

*Tight line your eyes and apply the L’oreal Dark Kajal to finish off your eyes.

*Finish off the eyes with Mascara L’oreal Volume Million

Shop here: Nykaa: L’oreal mascara

*For the lips you can go with any nude / pink nude cream lipstick to keep the lips subtle. I personally prefer the Velvet Rose Shade from L’oreal Paris colour Riche Lipstick

*For the highlight I could not find any good L’oreal products that were used on Ash. Hence as a substitute you can go with this soft Illuminator from Naked Urban Decay in the share Aura on your cheek bones, tip of the nose, Cupid’s bow and chin.

Shop here: Sephora: Naked-Urban decay

That’s It your look is complete!

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam looked stunning in a white gown finished with a cape and cold shoulder sleeve. Her makeup was on point with neat lines and highlights.

*Prime your face and use the concealer and foundation as read above.

*Her brows look full and dark so we need to fill in brows to get the look. Use the Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo to fill in

Shop here: Nykaa: Maybelline brow duo

*Prime the eyes and use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow in the shade Polyester Bride or for a budget friendly option try the Maybelline New York Expert Vanilla available at Apply with an angle brush to the upper line of the eye, inner corners of the eye.

Shop here: Sephora: Eyeshadow

Amazon: Maybelline Eye Shimmer

*With the L’oreal Liner and Kajal line your eyes with black defining lines

*Apply the L’oreal Paris Lucent Magique Blush on the apples of your cheek.

Shop here: Nykaa: L’oreal Magique Blush

*For the lipstick opt for the L’oreal pink collections in Sonam’s shade.
